Earle Clifton Davis, 72, of Winter Street in Claremont, died at his home on
Thursday morning, July 26, 2007.
He was born in Ludlow, VT on September 9, 1934 the son of Glen and Eunice L.
(Pingrey) Davis
He was a graduate of Stevens High School, lived in Wallingford, CT for
thirty-eight years and resided in Claremont for the past ten years.
Mr. Davis retired in 1995 and had worked for Dichello and Budweiser
Distributors for a total of twenty-six years.
He was a strong supporter for Autism and finding a cure.
The surviving family includes his wife, Madeline T. (Plourde) Davis of
Claremont, whom he married on June 4, 1955; one son, Brian E. Davis and his
wife, Joanna; two daughters, Kim L. Haines and Maureen A. Roberts and her
husband Richard; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three
sisters, Jean Plourde, Patricia Gould and Janice Dusing; two brothers,
Gilford Davis and Ronald Davis and several nieces,. nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by eight brothers, Maurice, Malcolm, Kenneth, Donald,
Carroll, Gerald, Glen and Arnold and two sisters, Marjorie and Evelyn.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Sunday
evening from 6 to 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning, July 30th at 9:30 AM in the
Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St Mary's Church,
officiating.
Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
