Edna M. Curtis, 84, of Woodrise Road in Charlestown, died Wednesday evening,
September 13, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

She was born in Claremont, NH on May 11, 1922 the daughter of Ernest and
Mary (Eastman) White.  She resided in Claremont most of her life, lived in
N. Charlestown for 13 years and in Charlestown for 6 years and had been a
patient at the Sullivan County Health Care for the past 2 years.

Mrs. Curtis worked at the Ideal Laundry for a short time and as a telephone
operator in the Claremont office and retired in 1945.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was active in the
Missionary Group.

The surviving family includes her husband, Roy Elmore Curtis of North
Charlestown; one daughter, Linda Diane Lee of Alexander, VA;  one sister,
Edith Owens of Claremont; one brother, Maurice F. White of Claremont and
nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Ruth E. Roy and Esther Laura Coleman;
two brothers, Ernest C. White and Raymond F. White.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 19th at One-Thirty in the
afternoon, at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, with Rev. David
Crosby, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at the West Claremont Burial Grounds, in Union
Cemetery.
