Etta A. Corbin, 90, formerly of 243 Broad Street in Claremont, died Sunday
morning, January 7, 2007 at the Sullivan County Health Care.

She was born in Springfield, VT on June 5, 1916 the daughter of Everett and
Mary (Blodgett) Jackson.  She lived in Claremont most of her life and had
previously resided in Springfield, and Ludlow, VT. 

Etta was a Certified Nurses Aid and had worked at the Sullivan County
Nursing Home and the Claremont General Hospital and also in housekeeping at
the Hotel Moody.

She enjoyed BINGO and parties at Marion Phillips.

She was the widow of Antoine A. "Frenchy" Corbin who died November 2, 1981
and was also pre-deceased by seven sisters, Beatrice Vailliant, Gladys
Aldrich, Marion Coolidge, Mildred Hines, Sadie Goodrich, Eleanor Jackson and
Sarah Wilson and four brothers, Edward Jackson, Perley Jackson, Clarence
Jackson and Everett Jackson.

Etta is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Wednesday
evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 11th  at Eleven O'clock at
the Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Cook, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist
Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
