Evelyn Brodeur, 96, formerly of 126 North Street in Claremont, died Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2005 at the Sullivan County Nursing Home. She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on December 5, 1908 the daughter of Ernest J. and Maud (Cassin) Brodeur. Miss Brodeur worked as a stitcher in several shoe shops in the area and retired in 1973. She was a communicant of St Joseph Church. The surviving family includes several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Rudolph Brodeur in 1937, Clyde Brodeur in 1988 and Armand Brodeur in 1988; and three sisters, Bernice Gonthier in 1985, Medora Brodeur in 1988 and Eileen McLaughlin in 1996. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, November 29th at Ten O'clock in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating. Interment will follow in St Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 AM, prior to the services.
