Evelyn C. King, 95, formerly of Curtis Street, Kenyon Street and Heritage
Drive, died Wednesday morning, July 13, 2005 at the Sullivan County Nursing
Home.   She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on
March 27, 1910 the daughter of Napoleon J. and Mary (Sylvester) Buckner.
Mrs. King attended St Mary's School.  She worked as a french cord stitcher
in several shoe shops including, United Shoe, International Shoe, Kimel
Shoe, Montclair Shoe and Claremont Maid.

Mrs. King was a communicant of St Mary's Church, a former member of the
bowling league and the grange.  She loved to go out to eat, read, play
cards, crochet and do puzzles.

She was the widow of John J. King whom she married in 1942 and he died
November 25, 1980 and was pre-deceased by one brother, Norman G. "Buster"
Buckner who died March 4, 1989.

The surviving family includes five nieces, Linda Ackerman of Manchester,
Cynthia Buckner and Darlene Buckner both of Claremont, Debra Buckner of
Lebanon and Lisa White of Goffstown; two great-nieces, Kerry and Renee; one
great-great nephew, Joshua and one sister-in-law, Pauline Buckner of
Claremont.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, July 15th at
Eleven O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien,
Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in St Mary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Friday
morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the Mass.
