A memorial service for Evelyn D. Snow, 103, of East Street in Charlestown,
who died October 17, 2006 at her home, will be held Sunday, November 12th at
Twelve Noon at the South Parish Unitarian Church on Main Street in
Charlestown.  Rev. Arthur Reublinger will officiate with Lynwood Paine as
the organist.  A time of fellowship will follow in the parish hall.

The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to the South
Parish Unitarian Church Memorial Fund, the Charlestown Historical Society or
the Home Health Care.

Evelyn D. Snow, 103, of East Street in Charlestown, died Tuesday morning,
October 17, 2006 at her home.

She was born on the family farm in South Charlestown on July 25, 1903, to
Horace M. and Claribel M. (Greenwood) Stearns and, except for five years in
the early 1930's, lived in Charlestown all her life. 

She was a graduate of Charlestown High School and attended Keene Normal
School (now known as Keene State College) prior to teaching for several
years in a number of local area schools. 

In 1930 she married Charles E. Snow, Jr. and he died May 8, 1984.

She was a member of the South Parish Unitarian Church, the Unitarian Ladies
Alliance and the Charlestown Historical Society.  Her interest included
caring for her family, church activities and doing research on local
history.  Although confined to bed for the past several years she remained
actively involved through the visits of her close friends.

Members of her surviving family include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles
H. and Margot J. Snow of Beaverton, OR; two grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and nieces and nephews.

A graveside committal service will be conducted by the Rev. Arthur Rubinger
on Sunday, October 22nd at twelve noon in Forest Hills Cemetery on East
Street in Charlestown.

Plans for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
