Evelyn M. (Evie) Hall, of Sedgewood Commons, Falmouth, Maine, died on August 25, 2005 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.  She was 89.   Evie was born on August 25, 1916, in Walpole, NH, the daughter of Jon Hans and Lilla Jane (Ellis) Wolfe.  She grew up with her four sisters and one brother
while living on Miss Fannie Mason's Boggy Meadow Farm where her father was
employed.  She graduated from Walpole High School, Class of 1935.

Following high school, Evie was employed by Miss Mason as a member of her
household staff.  On September 15, 1940, she married Albert Walter Hall,
also of Walpole.  In 1942 they moved to Claremont where they resided for
over 50 years.  There they raised two daughters and welcomed their husbands
and children with open arms.

Evie was a very happy, sociable woman with a bright smile.  She loved to
sing, sew, and cook.  Family gathered around her table at Thanksgiving and
Christmas to enjoy holidays beyond compare.  She enjoyed regaling children
and grandchildren about her experiences on the farm.  She was a wonderful
wife, mother, mother in-law and grandmother.

Evie had a strong faith in God.  She was an active member of the United
Methodist Church, and, as a member of the Women's Society, worked on many
rummage sales and church suppers.

She and her husband liked to travel to Maine to vacation, and spend time
with their daughters, sons in-law, and five grandchildren who they enjoyed
very much.

Evie will be remembered for her generous heart, giving nature, kind words,
pleasant personality, and that special sparkle in her eyes.  She filled many
lives with fun and laughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn A. Giles and her husband, Robert of
Kennebunk, ME, five grandchildren, Gwenn E. (Giles) Hoyt of Augusta, ME,
Scott M. Giles of Scarborough, ME, Kelly R. (Giles) Stuart of Boston, MA,
Sara Patstone of Sanford, ME, Derek Patstone of Sanford, ME, three
great-grandchildren, Meghan, Erin, and Alex Giles, and many nieces and
nephews.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Albert, daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Millicent
I. Hall) Patstone and all her brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, in
Claremont, at Two O'clock, Tuesday afternoon.  Friends and relatives are
invited to visit with the family from One O'clock up to the time of the
service at the church.   Internment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery,
Claremont, NH.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association
