Florence Luella Roberts, 88, of Cheshire Avenue in Charlestown died
Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the home of her granddaughter in N.
Springfield, VT after a long illness.

She was born in Goshen, NH on December 26, 1918 the daughter of Charles W.
and Florence L. (Bartlett) Vadney.  She resided in Charlestown since 1974
and had previously lived in Claremont.

Mrs. Roberts worked as a supervisor in the International and Montclare Shoe
Shops for many years and had also owned and operated the areas first thrift
shop on Main Street in Claremont.

Florence was an avid antique collector and repaired antique dolls from all
over the country.  Her favorite pastime was dressing up her grandchildren
and their pets.  Her life was her family.

She was the widow of William A. Roberts whom she married in 1961 and he died
November 28, 2005.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Anne Ricker of Charlestown;
three grandchildren, Robert Ricker and his wife Kim of Champlin, MN, Dana
Ricker and his wife Lisa of Scarborough, ME and Deborah Snide and her
husband Kevin of N. Springfield, VT; nine great-grandchildren, Michael,
April, Amanda, Natasha, Dylan, Hannah, Matthew, Abigail and Conner also
several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased besides her husbands, three brothers, Edward Vadney,
Herbert Vadney and Charles Vadney; and two sisters, Ida Mae Dutilley and
Edythe Dion.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Wednesday
evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday morning,
October 4th at Eleven O'clock with Rev, David Crosby, Pastor of the First
Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Hope Hill Cemetery in N. Charlestown.
