Frances Peebles Ardell, 91, formerly of White Birches in Claremont and had previously lived in the Lebanon, NH area  for eleven years, died Saturday June 11, 2005 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont. She was born in Pasadena, CA on August 28, 1913 the daughter of Frank and Jessie (Burnett) Peebles. She was raised in California, came to the East Coast when her father took a position as golf pro at the Fairfield Country Club.  She lived and raised her family in Fairfield, CT and worked for the Fairfield Public School System and retired in 1979.   Mrs. Ardell was a member of the West Lebanon Congregational Church and enjoyed knitting, playing cards and the Grand Old Oprey. She married Paul Eric Ardell on Jan. 20, 1940. He predeceased her on Feb. 28, 1989. The surviving family includes two children, Paul E. Ardell of Burlington, VT and Maren  F. Ardell of Newport, NH; three grandchildren, Kristen Ardell and Dr. Kendra Ardell both of Burlington, VT and Katherine Ardell Lee of Brandon, FL;  two great-grandchildren, Eric Lee and Mary Lee both of Brandon, FL.
