George Alexander Simpson, Jr., 84, formerly of Pleasant Valley Estates in
Claremont, died Friday evening, September 1, 2006 at the Franklin Hospital
in Franklin, NH.  He was born in Perkinsville, VT on August 21, 1922 the son
of George A. and Lena E. (Tenney) Simpson.   He resided in Claremont most of
his life and had been a patient at the N.H. Veterans Home in Tilton.  He was
a graduate of Stevens High School Class of 1942 and was a veteran of World
War II having served in the US Army.

Mr. Simpson worked at Joy Manufacturing Company for forty-one years as a
machinist and inspector and retired in1983.

He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.

George was the widower of his first wife, Addie (Keene) Simpson who died in
1958, later he married Rita Rollande St Sauveur on April 11, 1981 and she
died July 17, 2001.

The surviving family includes a son, Wilfred L. Simpson of Lakeside, CA;
grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers, Forest A. Simpson of
Lebanon and Howard M. Simpson of Enfield and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside committal service will be held Saturday morning, September 9th
at Eleven O'clock in Mt View Cemetery.
