George Winston Simonds, 61, of Lempster Street in Lempster, NH, died at his
home in Lempster on Wednesday, October 19, 2005.

He was born in Claremont, NH on December 18, 1943 the son of Ivan and
Elizabeth (Johnson) Simonds.  He had resided in Lempster since 1997 and had
previously lived in Unity for twenty years.

Mr. Simonds was employed as an inspector at the Sylvania Company in
Hillsboro, NH for the past eighteen years and had previously worked at the
Holson Company in Claremont.

He was the widower of Lula Irene (Wright) Simonds whom he married on October 30, 1990 and she died October 17, 2003.

The surviving family includes one son, Steve Simonds of Lempster; three
brothers, Robert Johnson of Pittsfield, MA, Robert Simonds of Ascutney, VT
and Glendon R. Simonds of Unity; five sisters, Grace Simonds of Windsor, VT,
Ruth Barrows of Ludlow, VT, Lillian Hodgdon of Cornish, NH, Alice Burnham of
Lempster and Linda Simonds of Rochester, NH; four stepsons, Walter Garrow,
Ralph Garrow, Dale Garrow, Scott Garrow; eight step-daughters, Laura
Britton, twins, Ila Wilson and Lila Elkins, Donna Armstrong, Pauline Domina,
Betty Kidder, Ann Roy and Brenda Seymour; also aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Ivan Simonds, Jr. in 2002 and Frank
Simonds in 1990.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23rd at Two-Thirty
O'clock in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with
Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Lempster Cemetery in Lempster, NH.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 2:30  PM
prior to the services.
