Guy Edgar Foster, 83, of Congress Street in Claremont, NH, died Friday evening, November 10, 2006 at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene. He was born in Canaan, NH on July 21, 1923 the son of Guy L. and Bessie (Jeness) Foster and had resided in Claremont since May of 2001. He lived in Lansing, IL for 23 years and in S. Holland, IL for 27 years and worked for the Ball Glass Co., makers of canning jars, in Dolton, IL, in the maintenance department for 29 years. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing, picking blueberries and apples. The surviving family includes his wife, R. Gloria (Fowle) Foster of Claremont whom he married on July 1, 1950; two sons, Neal Foster and Richard Foster both of Charlestown; two daughters, Cindy Seifker of Chicago Heights, IL and Tammy Van Olmen of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning, November 15th at Eleven O'clock at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Chapman, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. |
