Ida May Forrest, 98, formerly of 126 Hanover Street in Claremont, died
Thursday evening, November 3, 2005 at Maplewood Nursing Home in
Westmoreland.

She was born in Claremont, NH on June 18, 1907 the daughter of Frederick and Mary Frances (Nolin) Young.  Mrs. Forrest lived in Claremont nearly all her
life and was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1925.  She
was a self-employed seamstress and a dressmaker for Houghton & Simonds
Department Store.

She was a resident of Prospect Place in Keene since 1995 and a patient at
Maplewood Nursing Home since 2002.

Mrs. Forrest was a communicant of St Mary's Parish, a member of Court Virgil
H. Barber #892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Senior Citizens.

She was the widow of Arthur T. Forrest whom she married on June 18, 1931 and he died May 29, 1990.

The surviving family includes two sons, David J. Forrest and his wife, Judy
of Durham and Michael B. Forrest and his wife, Betty of Keene; one
son-in-law, Walter Kilburn of Keene; seven grandchildren; five
great-grand-children; nieces, nephews and Richard LaRoche of Chelmsford, MA. whom she raised during his high school years at Stevens. 

She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Mary Anne Kilburn who died on Dec. 22,
1997 also four sisters, Lillian Boudette in 1938, Agnes Stone in 1993,
Evelyn Fletcher in 1998 and Winifred Belaire in 2002 and one brother, C.
John Young in 1987.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, Nov. 7th at
Eleven O'clock in St Mary's Church, with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien,
Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in St Mary Cemetery.

Members of the Catholic Daughters are asked to meet at the Funeral Home on
Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM for a prayer service.
