Inez Laurina Plouffe, 87, formerly of 67 Maple Avenue and for many years a resident of 7 Garden Street in Claremont, died Monday evening, June 26, 2006 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont. She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, born on February 17, 1919 the daughter of Wilfred and Laurina (Giguere) St. Martin. Mrs. Plouffe was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1937. She retired in 1981 from J.J. Newberry Department Store where she worked for eighteen years as a clerk and cashier. She was a communicant of St Joseph Church. The surviving family includes one sister, Loretta Caliri of Claremont; one brother, Victor St. Martin of Kalispell, MT and nieces and nephews.  She was the widow of Alfred J. Plouffe who died in 1966  and was also pre-deceased by a son, Stewart A. Plouffe in 1969 and a sister, Gladys D. Dolan in 2001. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, June 30th at Eleven O'clock in St Joseph Church with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery. The family suggest that donations may be made in her memory to St Joseph Church Renovation Fund, P.O.
