Irene Caroline Gaudette, 94, formerly of 67 Maple Avenue, died Friday
morning, March 30, 2007 at the Sullivan County Health Care.

She was born in Claremont, NH on January 29, 1913 the daughter of Camille
and Rose (Dagenais) Raymond.  She had resided most of her life in Claremont
except for six years in California.

She started working when she was sixteen in the shoe shop where she worked
for eight years and in later years she worked at Sylvania/GTE in Hillsboro,
later at Split Ball Bearing in Keene and also at J.J. Newberry's in
Claremont where she became the manager of the hat department.

Mrs. Gaudette was a former member of the Woman of the Moose Lodge #639 from
when it started in 1940 to 1969 and held nearly every office, also the
Claremont Congress of Senior Citizens at the Earl Bourdon Center and was an
avid cribbage player.

She was the widow of David J. Gaudette whom she married on February 3, 1932
and he died April 8, 1959.

The surviving family includes two sons, David H. Gaudette of Orange, CA and
Bruce W. Gaudette of Marietta, GA; six grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Victor Raymond and Camille Raymond;
four sisters, Ievonne Hodgman, Stella Parizo, Rose Dunham and Florence
Aunchman.

Friend may call at the Stringer Funeral Home on Saturday morning, April 14th
from 9:30 to 10.30 prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at Eleven O'clock
in St Mary's Church with Rev. Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor officiating.
Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
