James Paul Curtis, Sr., 86, formerly of Carter's Mobile Home Park in
Charlestown, died Tuesday evening, February 27, 2007 at the Keene
Center-Genesis Eldercare.

He was born in Hardwick, VT on November 24, 1920 the son of Clayton and
Louise (Curtis) Adams and had resided in Charlestown most of his life.

He worked for the Boston & Maine Railroad in Bellows Falls, VT for many
years and later worked at Ralph's Supermarket in Charlestown as the store
manager for several years.

Mr. Curtis loved going to the dog track in Hinsdale.

He was the widower of Mildred Viola (Craigue) Curtis whom he married on
February 10, 1939 and she died March 2, 1988 and was also pre-deceased by a
son, James Paul Curtis, Jr.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Pamela Curtis Walton and her
husband, Stephen of Venice, FL; four grandchildren and five
great-grand-children.

A time of fellowship and sharing will be held Friday afternoon, March 2nd,
from 2 to 4 O'clock at Stringer's Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main
Street in Charlestown.   Interment will be later in the spring in Pine Crest
Cemetery in Charlestown.
