Janet M. Putnam, 88, of Ritter Road in Lakeland, FL died Saturday evening,
November 24, 2007 at the Palm Terrace of Lakeland.

She was born in Newport, NH on April 25, 1919 the daughter of Albert and
Matilda (Lavigne) Henault.  She had resided in Charlestown for fifty years
and lived in Lakeland, FL since 1986.

She was an auxiliary member of the Charlestown Memorial VFW Post #8497 and
the Ladies Auxiliary of the Charlestown Fire Department.

Janet was the widow of Earl Parker Putnam whom she married on October 28,
1939 and he died November 3, 2006.

The surviving family includes two sons, John Parker Putnam and his wife
Audrey of Acworth and Robert Earl Putnam and his wife Ann of Charlestown;
one daughter, Joyce A. Ringland and her husband, Russell of Lakeland, FL;
eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Benny
of Port St Lucie, FL and nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by one brother, Ray Henault.

Graveside committal services will be held Thursday afternoon, November 29th
at One O'clock at Oakland Cemetery in Springfield, VT with Rev. Dr. Winn
Alley, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Claremont, officiating.

The Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont is in charge of
arrangements.
