Jeannette St. Hilaire Muzeroll, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Valley
Regional Hospital at peace, after a brief and a lifetime of sickness.
She was born in Derby, CT on July 20, 1919 the daughter of Francois X. and
Evelina (Nolin) St.Hilaire. She moved to Claremont after the death of her
father in 1922, with her mother and sister, Olive.
She was educated through the parochial school system in Claremont,
graduating from St. Mary High School in 1937 with honors.
She worked in the office at Goddard's Bakery for four years, where she was
employed as a receptionist, and Banister's Studio for four more years, where
she learned photo coloring; she continued as a portrait coloring artist
until the arrival of color film.
In 1944, she married William Muzeroll. They recently celebrated their 63rd
anniversary. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed being a
mother. She was deeply spiritual and lived her faith with devotion.
She was an avid reader and freelance writer, and with her daughter, Phyllis,
wrote and published a book of short stories, "The Squirrel's Goblet." She
loved doing crossword puzzles.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Olive St. Hilaire Morse
DeVoyd, her daughter, Frances Pomeroy and her son, Martin.
She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Phyllis A. Muzeroll, both of
Claremont, a granddaughter, Laurie Ann Des Rochers of Manchester; a
grandson, Dustin Muzeroll of Merrimack and a great-grandson, Jordan
Muzeroll.
She belonged to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for over 65 years,
including Junior and Senior Courts. She served as Mission Chairman for the
Court for ten years. She also belonged to the St. Mary PTO, served on the
St. Mary High School School Board and was a member of and past secretary of
the St. Mary Alumni. She was also an assistant co-founder of the St. Mary
Cavaliers.
There are no visiting hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning, May 17th at
Ten-Thirty O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Fr. Shawn M. Therrien,
Pastor officiating.
Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
