Katherine Terrell Brenton Pare, 57, of Cheshire Avenue in Charlestown, NH,
died Wednesday morning, May 24, 2006 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical
Center in Lebanon.

She was born at Fort Clayton in the Panama Canal Zone on September 6, 1948,
the daughter of Col. Joseph Stuart and Katherine (Galusha) Terrell.  She
grew up as a US Army dependent living in many areas of the country.  She
attended Petersburg High School in Petersburg, VA and graduated with honors
from Punahou School in Honolulu in 1966.  Kate attended the University of
Hawaii and the College of William and Mary, and she received a B.A. from the
University of Maryland in 1970 where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.  She
worked in civilian personnel management for the Department of the Army in
the Washington, DC area for five years.  She earned a M.Ed. from Keene State
College in 1987 and she was an Elementary Guidance Counselor in the Fall Mt.
Regional School District for the next ten years.

She was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Charlestown and
served the parish in a number of offices and capacities for many years.  She
had attended services at Union Episcopal Church in West Claremont since her
marriage where she served as a lector and participated in programs to
strengthen local parishes.  Kate enjoyed singing and was a member of the
Charlestown Senior Center Silvertones.  She also served as a Silsby Free
Public Library Trustee for several terms.

She is survived by her husband David Robert Pare whom she married on January
11, 2003, her son Joseph Daniel Brenton of Portland Maine, her daughter,
Abigail Lynn Pare, Colin Rutter and her grandson Zakai Michael Alan Pare
Rutter of Austin, Texas, her father-in-law Fred Pare, her brother-in-Law and
sister-in-law Phil and Sue Pare of Claremont, her niece and nephew Jill and
Mike Gorey of Madbury, NH, her niece Jana Dalton of Dover, NH; two
great-nieces, a great-nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31st at Eleven O'clock in the
Union Episcopal Church in Claremont with Rev. Canon Marthe F. Dyner,
officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Claremont Burial Grounds in
Union Cemetery.
