Lena O. Nunn, 80, of Pleasant Street in Claremont, NH, died at her home on Wednesday evening, June 29, 2005 surrounded by her family.

She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on April 14, 1925 the daughter of Peter and Luba (Burisovets) Ostrowski.

Lena was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1944.

She retired in July of 1990 from the Dartmouth Woolen Mill where she worked in the finishing department for forty-six years.   Mrs. Nunn was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Congress of Senior Citizens and the AARP.   She loved to entertain, cook and study the Bible.

The surviving family includes one son, Daniel A. Nunn and his wife, Jane of Claremont; one daughter, Merrilee Dodge and her husband Tony of Henniker; four grandsons, Lane Mitchell, Chase Mitchell, Adam Dodge and Aaron Dodge; two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Elizabeth) Laskey of Stow, MA and Mrs. Donald (Lillian) Hodge of Concord, MA also several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Sophie Sakovich in 2001, Mary Seagren in 1993 and Vera Carroll in 1983.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and  6 to 8 PM.   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, July 6th at Eleven-Thirty  in the Funeral Home with Scott Kearns, Assistant Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
