Lorraine Constance Root, 83, formerly of 67 Maple Avenue and a long time
resident of Pine Hill Mobile Home Park, all in Claremont, died Wednesday
morning, January 24, 2007 at the Sullivan County Health Care.

She was born in St. Albans, Vt. on December 7, 1923 the daughter of
Alexander and Sarah M. (Zweeres) Paquette.

Mrs. Root worked as a school bus driver for the Claremont School District
for fifteen years.

She was the widow of John Benjamin Root whom she married on December 26,
1942 and he died May 9, 1999.

The surviving family includes four sons, Gary J. Root of Hanover, Bradley D.
Root of Haverhill, Randolph D. Root, Sr. of Claremont and Gregory J. Root of
Denver, CO; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews
and cousins.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning, January 27th at Eleven
O'clock at the Funeral Home with Rev. Margaret Long, Pastor of the First
United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
