Louis Charles Perry, 71, of 116 Bonmark Drive in Claremont. died  Monday
afternoon, April 17, 2006 at the Mount Ascutney Hospital and Health Center
in Windsor, VT.

He was born in Claremont, NH on May 9, 1934 the son of Harold and Eva
(Watso) Perry. 

He was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1954 where he
excelled in sports, especially football, and was elected to the very first
Shriners Football Team.

Mr. Perry was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US
Marines.

He attended two years at the New Hampshire VoTech College in Manchester and
worked at a sheet metal firm in Manchester for several years.  He started
his own sheet metal firm in Sunapee in 1971 which he operated for
twenty-seven years known as P-N-L Sheet Metal.   He retired in 1998 and
moved to Claremont.

He was a former member of the Lake Sunapee Snow Mobile Club, the American
Legion and the VFW.  He was proud of his native American Heritage, Abenaki.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene (Mullen) Perry on Jan.
5, 1967 and his second wife, Barbara (Fortune) Perry on Aug. 30, 1997 and
also one son, Kevin Perry on Jan. 16, 1995.

The surviving family includes his fiancée, Maria Emanuel of Claremont; one
son, Brian Perry of Andover, NH; three daughters, Sandy Wright and her
husband, David of Jericho, VT, Susan Perry of Valrico, FL and Gail Perry of
Sarasota, FL; three grandchildren, Mia Leonard, Zackary Leonard and Jamie
Wright; one sister, Margaret Lewko of Claremont; one nephew, Stephen Lewko
and his wife, Sandy and one grandniece, Meredith Lewko.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Friday afternoon from 3 to 5 PM.

A Memorial service will be held at the Funeral Home at 4:30 P.M. with Rev.
Dr. Winn Alley, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating.

Interment will be at a later date at Moore Cemetery in Candia, NH.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
charity of ones choice.
