Louise Clare Whipple, 85, of Old Newport Road in Claremont, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the Valley Regional Hospital. She was born in Charlemont, MA on May 22, 1920 the daughter of Dominic and Rose (Culpo) Dallava. She resided in Claremont for the past twenty-five years and previously lived in Newport. Mrs. Whipple worked as a gaiter at Sturm Ruger in Newport for thirteen years and had previously worked at Dorr Woolen Mill in Guild. Louise loved life to the fullest with a great appreciation for gardening and the outdoors. All who knew her were truly blessed with sincere and loyal friendship. Her greatest pleasure and joy was spent with he family. Her devotion and love for her family brought her the greatest pleasure and joy. She had a special place for children that filled her heart. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was the widow of Clarence G. Whipple. The surviving family includes two daughters, Rose M. and her husband, Allen L. Whipple of Claremont and Carol Sokolowski and her husband, Richard of Melbourne, FL; three grandchildren, Laurie Hillebrand and her husband, Thomas, Allen L. Whipple, and his wife, Dianne and Lana Farris and her husband, Edward; twelve great-grandchildren, Thomas Hoisington, Morgan Hillebrand, Anthony Accardi,II, Alex Farris, Allen Farris, Alexis Farris, Arielle Whipple, Madelyn Whipple, Connor Whipple, Michael Hillebrand, Victoria Kendziora and Aimee Hillebrand; one brother, Joseph Dallava and his wife, Teresa of Pittsfield, MA also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie DiGennaro in 2001 and five sisters, infant Madelyn Dallava, Mary Stehlin, Weena Peezzee, Alma Dallava and Delia Dallava. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 9th at 1:30 at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services. The family suggest that donations may be made in her memory to the Claremont Boxing Club, 191 Scenic Hill Road, Charlestown, NH 03603. |
