Lucy Emma Hurdle, 92, of Royce Street, formerly of Chestnut Street Ext.,
died Wednesday morning, October 3, 2007 at the home of her daughter.

She was born in Barre, VT on March 5, 1915 the daughter of William and
Barbara (Clark) Hutchinson.  She was raised in Barre was a graduate of
Spaulding High School and had resided in Claremont for the past forty-one
years.

Mrs. Hurdle enjoyed sewing and her family.  She also loved Vermont and her
Presbyterian Church in Barre.

She was the widow of James S. Hurdle whom she married on July 27, 1939 and
he died July 13, 1995.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Barbara Sherman of Claremont;
three grandchildren, William Sherman, Kenneth Kriplin III, and Lorna Kelin;
six great-grandsons and three great-great-grandsons.

She was pre-deceased by one daughter, Lauretta Ann Kriplin on October 23,
1992.

Graveside committal services will be held Tuesday morning, October 9th at
Eleven O'clock in Mt View Cemetery with Pastor Michael Sanborn, Pastor of
the West Unity Community United Methodist Church, officiating.
