Lula Lida Ruest,  94, a long time resident of 23 Mann Court and formerly of
South Street, died Tuesday morning, August 22, 2006 at the Sullivan County
Health Care. 

She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on June 13,
1912 the daughter of Bert and Jane (Tucker) LaClair.

Mrs. Ruest was a communicant of St Mary Parish. 

She worked as a repairer in the shoe shops in the area for over twenty
years, later as a cook at Claremont General Hospital, McKerley Nursing Home
and lastly for Valley Regional Hospital.

She was the widow of Ernest P. Ruest who she married on Nov. 15, 1937 and he
died Nov. 26, 1971.

The surviving family includes, two sons, Theodore L. Ruest and his wife,
Janet of Claremont and Larry E. Ruest and his wife, Angela of Keene;  two
daughters, Brenda J. Ruest of Claremont and Kathleen S. Hackett and her
husband, Donald of Plymouth, MA; six grandchildren, Mark, Nancy, David and
Paul; Shelly and Traci;  five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Dubreuil, Sarah
Ruest, Christopher Ruest, Courtney Ruest and Shane Kochvi; two brothers,
Levi LaClair of Claremont and Rodney LaClair of Groveton, NH; also nieces
and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by one grandson, Olin Hackett; two brothers, Infant
Raymond LaClair and Alfred LaClair.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Thursday
evening from 6 to 8 PM. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning, August 25th
at Eleven O'clock at St Mary Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien,
Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
