Madgelene J. Sweet, 91, a former long time resident of Claremont, NH, died
October 13, 2006 in Hesperia, CA.

She was born in Saxton River, VT on April 27, 1915 the daughter of William
and Vera (Warner) Lord and previously lived in Charlestown and Goshen.

She worked for the City of Claremont Welfare Department for four years, also
was a Sight Manager for five years for the Newport Senior Citizens and
worked at the Williams Ideal Laundry in Newport for eleven years.

She was a 4-H Leader for eleven years and also worked for the Town of Goshen
on the Budget Committee for two years.

Survivors include three daughter, Ada Jacques of Hesperia, CA; Maxine Clarke
of Laguna Niguel, CA and Patricia Sweet of Charlestown; one son, Donald
Sweet, Jr. of St Aubin, Vermont; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. Sweet, Sr.; her three sisters,
Iva Lamere, Cressa Binton and Doris Schafer; four brothers, Clifton Lord,
Gerald Lord, Glen Lord and William Lord, Jr.

Funeral Services were held October 21st at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146
Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. James Fischmann, officiating.

Interment was in Mt View Cemetery in Claremont.
