Margaret E. Scranton, 87, of Kenyon Street in Claremont, NH, died Tuesday
morning, November 8, 2005 at the Valley Regional Hospital.

She was born in Stanstead, PQ Canada on June 15, 1918 the daughter of
Bernard and Edith (Hartley) Wheeler and had resided in Claremont most of her
life.

Mrs. Scranton retired in 1988 from Tambrands, Inc. where she worked for
twenty-two years and had previously worked at M.H. Fishman Co. and the
Frances Stores both were on Pleasant Street.  She also enjoyed working with
her son, making trophies which she was doing just this past Sunday.

She was the widow of Albert Edward Scranton whom she married on March 28,
1938 and he died on February 28, 1997 and also pre-deceased by a daughter,
Mrs. David (Corinne U.) Mercier in 1984.

The surviving family includes, one son, Albert "Butch" Scranton of
Claremont; one daughter, Coleen A. Haines of Claremont; eight grandchildren,
Rick Haines, Scott Haines, Lori Helie, Todd Scranton, Tami Hanson, Serena
Howes, Desire'e Sturdivant and David Mercier, Jr; eighteen
great-grandchildren; five great-great-grand-children: one brother, Wayne
Wheeler of Osage Beach, MO and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Friday
evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held  Saturday morning, November 12th at Ten
O'clock at Stringer Funeral Home with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor
of St Joseph Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in St Mary's
Cemetery.
