Margaret Eunice Foale, 87, of Alexander Avenue in Claremont, died Monday
evening, July 30, 2007 at the Sullivan County Health Care.
She was born in Norwich, VT on May 10, 1920 and had resided in Claremont
most of her life.
She retired from the Claremont School District in 1970 where she was an
elementary school teacher for over twenty years. She had taught at all the
grade schools in Claremont but mostly at Maple Avenue School.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Claremont for over
fifty years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Woodman-Aurora
Chapter #26. She loved teaching and enjoyed painting and crafts.
She was the widow of her first husband, Herbert Wilbur.
The surviving family includes her husband, Charles R. Foale of Claremont
whom she married Aug. 15, 1970; one son, Edward R. Wilbur and his wife, Jane
of Silver Spring, MD; one step-daughter, Annetta Clark and her husband,
James of Westminster, CO; and one grandson, Christopher Wilbur. She was
pre-deceased by one son, David Wilbur.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 3rd at One-Thirty in the
afternoon at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with
Pastor Shinhyung Ahn of the First United Methodist Church and Pastor
Michael Sanborn, co officiating. Interment will be at a later date in
Dover, NH. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday afternoon from
Twelve noon to one-thirty prior to the services.
