Marjorie R. Zopf, 89, of Ellery Street in Claremont, NH, died Saturday
morning, April 23, 2005 at her residence.  She was born in Boston, MA on
August 14, 1915 the daughter of John "Jack" and Margaret (Dennis) Ryan and
had resided in Claremont for the past fifty-nine years.

She graduated from Mt. St. Joseph's Academy in Brighton, MA in 1933,
attended Emmanuel College for two years and graduated from Trinity College
in Washington, DC in 1937.  She worked in the Boston Municipal Court traffic
department for eight years.

She worked with the Girl Scouts, belonged to the Ladies Union Aid Society,
the Court Virgil H. Barber No. 892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas and
was the secretary of the Community Center Commission for fifteen years.

She was the widow of Atty. George E. Zopf whom she married on Sept. 8, 1942.
He died January 15, 1998.

The surviving family includes two sisters, Elinor Ryan of Brighton, MA and
Claire Nead of Banning, CA; one brother, John "Bud" Ryan of Needham. MA; and
many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand- nephews.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Tuesday
evening from 6 to 8 PM with the Catholic Daughters having a prayer service
at 7 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, April 27th
at Eleven O'clock in St Joseph Church, 58 Elm Street in Claremont, with Rev.
Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor, officiating.

Friends may call at the McNamara Funeral Home, 460 Washington Street in
Brighton, MA on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning, April 28th
at Ten O'clock at Boston College's St. Ignatius Church, 28 Commonwealth
Ave., Chestnut Hill, MA.  Interment will follow in Holyhood Cemetery in
Brookline, MA.

Marjorie's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her
