Mary was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1940. 
She lived in Newington, CT and worked at the Hartford Provisian Company in
New Britain, CT for twenty years, retiring in 1982. 
She had resided in West Unity for the past twenty-three years.

She was a communicant of St Joseph's Church in Claremont, NH, a member of
the Newport Senior Center and a volunteer at the Sullivan County Nursing
Home for over thirty years.

She was the widow of Clyde G. Strout whom she married on February 15, 1947
and he died August 10, 1994.

The surviving family includes one son, Michael J. Strout of West Unity; one
daughter, Katherine Smith of Newport; three grandchildren, Olivia Strout,
Megan Strout and David Strout; two great-granddaughters; three sisters,
Helen Ankuda of Springfield, VT, Amelia Skill of Claremont and Jennie
Leggitt of Manchester, CT and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Friday
April 8th from  2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at Eleven
O'clock in St Joseph's Church with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor,
officiating.   Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
