Melvin Marshall Wilson, 80, of Pecor Road in Charlestown, died Wednesday
evening, May 16, 2007 at his home.   He was born in Langdon, NH on August 5,
1926 the son of Clifford Victor and Marion (Bryant) Wilson and was a life
long resident of Charlestown.  He retired in1988 as the Highway
Superintendent of the Charlestown Highway Department where he worked for
twenty-five years.  He had previously worked for Golding Keene Mining Co.
and Farnam Vegetable garden farming.

He was a member of the American Legion.

The surviving family includes his wife, Sylvia M. (Nash) Wilson of
Charlestown whom he married on April 3, 1953; two sons, Kenneth Clifford
Wilson of Charlestown and Craig Allen Wilson and his wife, Anna of Acworth;
two daughters, Donna Marie Montgomery and Kathleen Mary Wilson both of
Charlestown; five granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; one brother,
Daniel W. Wilson of Charlestown and many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by one sister, Pauline R. Wilson.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 21st at One O'clock at the
Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street in Charlestown with Rev. Jeanne
Nieuwejaar, Interim Pastor of the Unitarian/Universalist Church of
Springfield, VT, officiating.   Interment will follow in Pine Crest
Cemetery.
