Mildred Ann Packard, 76, of the Senior Housing Woodrise Apartments on the
Loves Lane Road in Charlestown, died Friday morning, December 30, 2005 at
the Fletcher-Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, VT.

She was born Hempstead, LINY on November 21, 1929 the daughter of Clarence H. and Blanche (Hance) Packard.   She lived in Levittown, LINY for
forty-five years and was employed in administrative services at Newsday,
Inc. in LINY for thirty-four years and retired in 1985  when she moved to
Charlestown.  She worked on the assembly line at Precision Assembly,
currently, Whalen in Charlestown for seven years.

She loved BINGO and bowling and enjoyed singing in her soprano voice.

She was the last of ten siblings.

The surviving family includes several nieces and nephews including two
nieces, Patricia Burnham and her husband, Michael of Charlestown and Linda
Ittem-Rady and her husband, Walter "Gator" of Unity; one grand nephew,
Jeffrey Burnham; one great-grandnephew, Ethan Burnham; one great-grandniece, Aisha Burnham; two aunts, Maranette Hance of Glens Falls, NY and Mildred Benedict of Levittown, LINY also cousins.  

Friends may call at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Maid Street, on
Tuesday evening from 2 to 4 PM.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 4th at Eleven O'clock at
the Chapel.

Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
