Norman Leo Brunelle, 80, of Park Avenue, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at
Valley Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was born in
Whitefield, NH on May 14, 1925 the son of Leo and Maude (Bourdon) Brunelle
and had resided in Claremont most of his life.  He was a graduate of St
Mary's High School in the Class of 1942.  He was a veteran of World War II
having served in the US Army in the South Pacific.  He was a life member of
the American Legion Post #29.

Most of his working career, Mr. Brunelle was employed by Joy Manufacturing
Co.  In 1984, he retired after 37 years of service.

He was a communicant of St Joseph Church for many years.  After his
retirement, Norman frequently participated in many of the church's fund
raising events until failing health restricted his activities.

An avid motorcyclist, Norman enjoyed 27 years of traveling by bike with his
wife, Julie.  They frequently toured the countryside together and enjoyed
stopping at various churches and restaurants throughout New Hampshire and
Vermont.  Together with friends, they took several vacations, traveling by
motorcycle to the Amish Villages in Pennsylvania, Lake Placid, NY and even
into Canada.  In 2003, at the age of 78, Mr. Brunelle finally retired his
motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Juliette (Coderre) Brunelle of
Claremont; one daughter, Bonnie Ota of Nashua; two beloved grandchildren
whom he was immensely proud of, Bruce Norman Ota - honor graduate of Georgia Tech. 2004 and Julie Kay Ota - honor graduate of UNH 2005.  Both
grandchildren reside in Nashua and are pursuing their Masters degrees.  Also
surviving is one sister, Joyce Baril of Claremont; two brothers, James
Brunelle of Cape Elizabeth, ME and Frank Brunelle of Webster, MA and
Bradenton, FL and nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Mark Brunelle in 1991.

A man of true honor and principles, Norman was a faithful husband and
devoted father and grandfather.  He always saw the good in people and would
willingly lend a hand to anyone in need.  His quick wit and unfailing
optimism will be sadly missed by his beloved family and friends.

A private service, officiated by Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of
St Joseph Church, was held on Monday, May 23, 2005.  Norman Brunelle is
interred at St Mary's Cemetery beside his parents and brother.

The family suggest that donations may be made in his memory to St Joseph
Church Renovation Fund, P.O. Box 824, Claremont, NH 03743 or the American
Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate, Two Wall Street, Manchester, NH
