Paavo F. Logren, 89, of Burma Road in Sunapee, NH, died Friday morning,
April 6, 2007 at the Hanover Terrace Health Care in Hanover, NH.
He was born in Newport, NH on August 12, 1917 the son of David Ferdinand
"Fred" and Elna P. (Kemppainen) Logren and had resided in Sunapee since 1947
and previously in Guild.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army Air Corp.
Mr. Logren retired in 1979 from Dorr Woolen Mill in Guild where he worked in
the finishing department for forty-two years.
He was a hunter, fisherman and amateur photographer. He was always
tinkering and could fix anything.
He was the widower of Veronica "Vera" (Eroszonak) Logren whom he married on
Sept. 6, 1947 and she died April 12, 2005.
The surviving family includes one sister-in-law, Eileen Eroszonak of
Claremont; four nieces, Nancy Norwalk of Plainfield, Jo Ann Brooks of
Gilbertsville, PA, Joan Dagenais of Lebanon and Donna Atherton of Exeter;
and two nephews, John Eroszonak, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC and Michael
Logren of West Lebanon.
He was pre-deceased by an infant daughter, Christine Mary Logren; an infant
sister, Edna Logren and a brother, Eino Logren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, April 10th at One-Thirty in
the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. Margaret
Long, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home, one hour prior to the services on
Tuesday afternoon.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his
memory to the charity of ones choice.
