Patricia Veronica Rivard, 86, formerly of Myrtle Street and Heritage Drive
in Claremont, died Wednesday morning, November 16, 2005 at the Sullivan
County Nursing Home.

She was born in Windsor, VT on March 15, 1919 the daughter of James L. and
Theresa A. ( McAdam) Rogers and had resided in Claremont most of her life.
She graduated from Windsor High School.

Mrs. Rivard worked at Joy Manufacturing Company and Sportwelt Shoe both of
Claremont for a short time.

She was a communicant of St Mary's Church and a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.  She loved playing with her grandchildren, visiting
with family and friends, reading, music and playing the organ.

Mrs. Rivard was instrumental in instructing children about Catholicism.

She was the widow of Gerard J. Rivard who died August 26, 1971.

The surviving family includes one son, Michael J. Rivard and his wife,
Suzanne of Charlestown; four grandchildren; Kenneth G. Rivard of Colorado
Springs, CO, Jesse L. Rivard and his wife, Suzanne and Michael G. Rivard all
of Andover, MA and Fay Cheney of Argyle, NY; five great-grand-children;
Clay, Logan, Christina, Casey and Taliyah; one brother, Philip L. Rogers of
Manchester, NH; one sister, Harriet Doukas of Groton, CT also nieces and
nephews.

She was pre-deceased by an infant daughter, Veronica Rivard and two
brothers, Francis Rogers and James E. Rogers.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, November 18th
at Eleven O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien,
Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in St Mary Cemetery.

The family suggest that donations may be made in her memory to St Mary's
