Paul Lawrence Kelley, 75, of Laplante Avenue in Claremont, died Friday
morning, July 15, 2005 at the Valley Regional Hospital.

He was born in Dexter, ME on September 15, 1929 the son of Dr. Lawrence
Eugene and Sarah Elizabeth (Rafford) Kelley.  He graduated from NH Fay High
School in 1948, attended Norwich University in Northfield, VT from 1948 to
1949 and graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 1952.  He sailed the
Isthmian Line as a merchant marine from 1952 to 1955.  He served in active
duty in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957 and stayed in the Navy Reserve until
1978 and then was transferred to Fleet Reserve.  Mr. Kelley started working
in 1958 for the General Adjustment Bureau in Bangor, ME and in 1967 was
transferred to the Claremont office where he was branch manager and retired
in 1983 as a general adjuster.  In 1983 he was employed by American
International Group, Inc. and retired in October of 1996 as Regional General
Adjuster.

Mr. Kelley was a member of the Church of Christ.

The surviving family includes his wife, Alice J. (Crump) Kelley of
Claremont, formerly of Birmingham, AL whom he married in May of 1957; one
son, Brian L. Kelley and his wife, Lisa M. of Fayetteville, NC; one
daughter, Mary Lisa Kelley of Lemington, VT;  two grandsons, Adam Dagenais
and Brian Kelley, Jr. and one granddaughter, Allison.

Friends may call at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street in
Dexter, ME on Tuesday afternoon, July 19th from one to three O'clock.

Graveside committal services, with military honors, will follow at
three-thirty PM in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, ME.

The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his
memory to the American Diabetes Association, New England Region, 249 Canal
Street, Manchester, NH, 03101-2316  or the American Heart/Stroke
Association,  Two Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101-1518.
