Paul N. Therrien, 73, of Foisy Hill Road in Claremont, died, Tuesday morning, January 10, 2006, at his home. He was born in Brookfield, VT on November 1, 1932 the son of Philip and Minnie (LaValley) Therrien and had resided in Claremont most of his life. He was a 1952 graduate of Hartford High School. Mr. Therrien worked as a machinist for Joy Manufacturing Company from 1955 to 1960, with Federal Tool in Newport from 1960 to 1964 and was Co-Partner of Ultra Precision Products, Inc. with Albert Blake and became full owner in 1987. He sold the business to his son and retired in 1994. He was then a volunteer teacher at the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center in the machine tool department. He was involved with the Boy Scouts for several years, the president of the Perkins Pond Protective Association, the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center Committee for twenty years and a member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Therrien enjoyed his family and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. The surviving family includes his wife, Patricia Ann (Bauer) Therrien of Windsor, VT whom he married on May 1, 1954; one son, Timothy N. Therrien and his wife, Donna of Claremont; two daughters, Karen A. Kolash of Rockland, MA and Kathi A. Osterlund and her husband, James of Cornish; six grandchildren; one sister, Eva LaRocque of Randolph, VT; one brother, Maurice W. Therrien of Windsor, VT and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Therrien, Alfred Therrien, William Therrien and Romeo Therrien; four sisters, Hermina Jennings, Jeannette Therrien, Laura Gaudette and Blanche Courtemanche. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, January 13th at Eleven O'clock in the Stringer Funeral Home with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph's Church, officiating. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday morning from ten to eleven o'clock prior to the services.
