Phillip Allen Walker, 58, of Citizen Street in Claremont, died Wednesday
morning, February 1, 2006 at the Valley Regional Hospital after a long
illness. He was a native and life long resident of Claremont, born on
August 15, 1947 the son of John Allen and Olga Anna (Kuchtey) Walker.
He worked for Beaudry Enterprises as a truck driver for ten years and had
been on disability for the past twenty years.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching NASCAR
and golf on television.
The surviving family includes his wife, Dianne L. (Brassaw) Walker of
Claremont, whom he married on May 27, 1966; one daughter, Samantha Decato of
Claremont; one son, Jason and his wife, Kirstin of Chesapeake, VA; six
grandchildren, Kasey, Jeffrey and Linsey Decato, Lauren, John and Allison
Walker and his mother, Olga Walker of Claremont. He was predeceased by his
father in 1987 and a son, Allen A. Walker in 2000.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Feb. 4th at Eleven O'clock
in the Stringer Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Kearns, an assistant at the
First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt View
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning from ten to eleven
o'clock prior to the services.
The family suggests that donations may be made in his memory to the American
