Rachel "Rae" F. Ferry, 81, of Winter Street, in Claremont, NH,  died Sunday,
February 12, 2006 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was born in St. Hyacinthe, P.Q, Canada on February 15, 1924 the daughter
of Emile J. and Rosia P. (Bernard) Angers and had resided in Claremont most
of her life.

She worked at the International Shoe Shop for several years.

Mrs. Ferry was a very faithful communicant of St Mary's Church and loved
ballroom dancing and was a member of the NH Ballroom Dancing Association.
She was a warm and caring person, who listened well and comforted many.  In
later years those who she comforted have returned to comfort her.  She also
found great pleasure in her beloved pets.

The surviving family includes her husband, Hiram Ferry of Claremont, whom
she married on April 17, 1946; one daughter, Donna Jean Christy and her
husband, Stephen of Lebanon; one grandson, Kenneth A. "Casey" Christy of
Albany, NY; one granddaughter, Melissa L. "Missy" Christy of Boston, MA;
one sister, Doris Soboll and her husband, Edward of Claremont; two nieces,
Constance Mueller and Joanne Soboll and cousins.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street  on Thursday
afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and   6 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 17th  at Eleven
O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor,
officiating.

Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
