Robert A. MacEachern, II, 49, of Piper Hill Road in Claremont, NH, died Thursday evening, June 23, 2005 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lincoln, ME on October 28, 1955 the son of Robert A. and Barbara (Bither) MacEachern. For twenty years he lived in Lincoln and had resided in Claremont for the past thirteen years. He graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and received an Associates Degree from Eastern Maine Technical College. He was extremely dedicated to his career in retail management at both his present employment at K-Mart where he was the store manager for the past two and a half years and his previous employment was at Ames Department Stores for fifteen years. Robert was an inspiration to everyone who met him. He thoroughly enjoyed life, his family and friends and especially watching the Red Sox. He was a member of the Fort #4 Rod & Gun Club and an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending his time outside feeding birds, turkeys and deer, gardening, hiking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and most of all camping and telling “campfire stories”. Robert always wanted to make people laugh and was quite successful in doing so. He was sure to put a smile on anyone’s face who knew him. The surviving family includes his wife, “the love of his life” Linda M. (Kennett) MacEachern of Claremont whom he married on April 24, 1993; his mother, Barbara MacEachern of Lincoln, ME; three brothers, Patrick and his wife, Carol of Burlington, ME, Michael and his wife, Janet of Winn, ME and Daniel and his wife, Kris of Lincoln, ME; two sisters, Mary Sereyko and her husband, Michael of Howland, ME and Sally Clark and her husband, Daniel of Hudson, ME; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; his father and mother-in-law, Donald and Patricia Kennett of Charlestown; special family friends, Diane and Ollie Leonard of Unity, NH and his German Shepard, Molly. He was pre-deceased by his father, Robert A. MacEachern who died in 1984. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 27th at Eleven O’clock at St Joseph Church in Claremont with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, June 28th at Three O’clock in the Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, ME.
