Robert Edward Finan, 89, of  Pine Hill Mobile Home Court, Claremont, N.H., died Tuesday morning, September 26, 2006 at the Sullivan County Health Care. He was born in Marlboro, MA on July 5, 1917 the son of John Joseph and Helen May  (Macey) Finan and resided in Marlboro area most of his life.  He lived in Claremont from 1987 to 1994, six years in Lebanon and moved back to Claremont in Nov. 2000.   He worked for ten years in Chelsea, MA for Cabot Painting and retired in 1985.  He worked part-time for five years until 1993 at the Claremont Savings Bank as a custodian. Family includes his wife, Annice Wilhelmine (Bagnell) Finan of Claremont whom he married on Dec. 14, 1974; three daughters, Stephanie Tucker of Union City, TN, Julie Sablock and Sharon Finan both of Claremont; nine grandchildren; one step-daughter, Mrs. Sidney (Rosalie C.) Arthurs of New York City, NY; three step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Whittemore of Sun City, AZ; one brother, George Finan of Marlboro, MA; also nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by one son, Robert Edward Finan, Jr., in 1969 and one grandson, Daniel Wayne Sablock in 2000.  Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Friday afternoon from 1 to 2 PM prior to funeral services at Two O'clock at the funeral Home with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating.  Interment will be later at the convenience of the family.
