Robert W. Kilburn, 83, formerly of Integrated Health Service of Claremont, Sugar River Mills and Sugar River Trailer Park all of Claremont, died Wednesday Afternoon, June 28, 2006 at the St. Frances Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was born in Walpole, NH on November 25, 1922 and had resided in Claremont for over thirty years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army in the European African Middle Eastern Theater and received two bronze stars. Mr. Kilburn retired in 1985 from St Johnsbury Trucking Co. where he was a truck driver for thirty years. He had previously worked for White Brothers Milk in Bellows Falls. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge and the American Legion all of Bellows Falls, VT. The surviving family includes one daughter, Julianne E. Kilburn of Wappingers Falls, NY; one grandson, Tucker and several cousins. A graveside committal service will be held Monday, July 3rd at Eleven O'clock in the Walpole Cemetery in Walpole, NH with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph Church in Claremont, officiating. The family suggests that donations may be made in his memory at www.alz.org and be sure to make the donations for supporting research. |
