Rose Marie Delaney, 80, of Elm Street Ext., in Claremont, died Saturday
morning, July 15, 2006 at the Sullivan County Health Care.

She was born in Manchester, NH on July 25, 1925 the daughter of Arthur and
Diana (Proulx) Lariviere and had resided in Claremont since 1956.

She was raised in Newport, graduated from Towle High School in the Class of
1944.She was employed by New England Telephone Company in Newport and
Claremont as a telephone operator from 1942 to 1949.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Woodman Chapter
#26 Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Delaney was a great seamstress and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

The surviving family includes her husband, Theodore V. Delaney of Claremont
whom she married on Feb. 9, 1947; one son, Allan James Delaney of Fairbanks,
AK; daughter-in-law, Gale Delaney of Claremont; one daughter, Janet Marie
Jesanis and her husband, Michael of Hopkinton. MA.; four grandchildren, John
Delaney, Sarah Treadway. Andrew Jesanis and Gregory Jesanis;  three
great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joshua and Emily Rose;  three brothers,
Louis Lariviere of Champagne, IL, Andrew Lariviere of Wells, ME, Bernard
Lariviere of Claremont;  one sister, Claire Delaney of Middletown, RI; also
nieces, nephews and cousins including a special niece, Ann Wentworth of
Newport.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Wednesday
evening from 6 to 8 PM.   Members of the Order of Eastern Star will have
services on Wednesday evening at seven o'clock.

Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday morning, July
20th  at Eleven O'clock with Rev. Margaret Long, Pastor of the First United
Methodist Church, officiating.  

Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport.
