Ruth G. Weeks, 90, formerly of Sullivan Street in Charlestown, died Tuesday,
November 15, 2005 at the Haven Health Center in Claremont where she had
resided for the past four years.

She was born in Colebrook, NH on November 18, 1914 the daughter of Walter
and Elvira (Gray) Gray.  She graduated from Colebrook Academy in 1930 and
from Plymouth Normal School in 1934 where she majored in elementary
education.  She taught in elementary schools in West Stewartstown,
Clarksville, Acworth and Charlestown where she was a first grade teacher for
twenty-two years, retiring in1976.

Mrs. Weeks was a member of the North Charlestown United Methodist Church for over sixty years, the North Charlestown Grange and the NH Retired Teachers Association.

She was the widow of Merrill P. Weeks whom she married on Dec. 27, 1936 and he died in 1981.

The surviving family includes three daughters, Ann and her husband, Dr.
Richard Pearson of Fayetteville, NY, Karen Scida of Rutland, VT and Nancy
Pomer of Burlington, NC; a son, Bradley Weeks and his wife, Evelyn of
Bellows Falls, VT; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother,
William Gray of Essex Junction, VT; a sister-in-law, Mary Gray of
Charlestown and several nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours.

A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, December 3, 2005 at One
O'clock in the North Charlestown United Methodist Church with Rev. Margaret
Long, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will be private in Pine Crest
Cemetery.

The Stringer's Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street is in charge of
arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Weeks memory to the
Charlestown Primary School, East Street Extension, Charlestown NH 03603 in
care of Dianne Hicks, principal, for the purchase of library books.
