Stephen J. Milan, 83, of Elm Street, in Claremont, died Thursday morning,
May 31, 2007 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont.
He was born in Bellows Falls, VT on December 26, 1923 the son of John and
Caroline (Nawojczyk) Milan and had resided in Claremont most of his life.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Marines.
Mr. Milan retired in 1984 from Joy Manufacturing Company where he worked as
a machinist.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1201 and the American
Legion Post #29 both of Claremont.
The surviving family includes his wife, Lucille F. (Dodier) Milan of
Claremont whom he married 60 years ago this June; one daughter, Joan Allen;
one step son, Ernest Dubreuil all of Claremont; five grandchildren; two
great-granddaughters and nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by one
son, Stephen N. Milan on Nov. 7, 2006; one grandson, Randy Scott Dubreuil on
March 17, 2005 and three brothers, infant Alphonse Milan, John Milan and
Alex Milan and two sisters, Jennie Milan and Lillian McNeil.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 4th at Eleven O'clock in the
Stringer Funeral Home with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St
Mary's Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10 to 11 AM
prior to the services.
