Teresa Alice "Tess, Terry" Bodeur, 82, of Whitcomb Lane in Claremont, died peacefully December 12, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH born on August 18, 1924 the daughter of Joseph and Anne (Truchon) Belaire. Teresa graduated from St Mary's High School in the Class of 1943. She was employed in various clerical positions until her marriage. She then devoted her life to her family until her children were grown. She returned to the workplace first as a clerk at Merit's Jewelry and later for Hodgdon Enterprises. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest love and pride were for her family (especially her grandchildren) and her home. She loved chatting on the phone with her friends, dancing, music and in earlier years swimming and bicycling. The surviving family includes her husband, Raymond Bodeur of Claremont whom she married on Feb. 19, 1955 at St Mary's Church; one son, Michael Bodeur and his wife, Larisa; one daughter, Martha Johnson and her companion, Anthony Koch, Jr. all of Claremont; her grandsons, Joshua Johnson and Brendan Bodeur both of Concord and a granddaughter, Oksana Nagornuka of Claremont; one sister, Beatrice Carleton and her husband, Carroll of Claremont; one brother, Arthur Belaire of Newport; nieces, nephews, cousins and last but not least her cat, Jinxie and her dog, Belle. She was pre-deceased by an infant brother, Andrew; a sister, Rose Ross; a brother Alfred Belaire and his wife Winifred. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 16th at Ten O'clock in St Joseph Church with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Judy Fund C/O Alzheimer's Association, 225 No. Michigan Ave., 17th Flr.
