VERONICA HELEN "VERA" LOGREN

Veronica H. "Vera" Logren, of Burma Road in Sunapee, NH, died Tuesday
morning, April 12, 2005 at the New London Hospital two days prior to
celebrating her 88th birthday.

She was born in Claremont, NH on April 14, 1917 the daughter of Alexander
and Isabelle (Belski) Eroszonak and had resided in Sunapee since 1947 and
had previously lived in Guild.

She was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1936 and Rutland
Regional Hospital School of Nursing and did training in Burbank, MA,
Worcester, MA and Montreal, Canada.  She worked as a nurse at the Carrier L.
Wright Hospital in Newport from 1941 to 1942.

She served in the service from 1942 to 1946 during World War II having
served as a Registered Nurse in the US Army Nurse Corps 36th General
Hospital in the European, African, Middle Eastern Theater and was discharged
as a First Lieutenant.  She was awarded the campaign ribbon and victory
medal with four battle stars.

After the service she was a nurse at the Claremont General Hospital, was a
nursing supervisor at the Newport Hospital for many years and was an
industrial nurse at the Newport Shoe Shop.

The surviving family includes her husband, Paavo F. Logren of Sunapee whom
she married on September 6, 1947; one sister, Geneva "Ganya" Dagenais of
Lebanon; a sister-In-law, Mrs. John (Eileen) Eroszonak of Claremont; four
nieces, Joan Dagenais of Lebanon, Donna Atherton of Exeter, Nancy Norwalk of
Plainfield and Jo Ann Brooks of Gilbertsville, PA and two nephews Michael
Logren of Lebanon and John Eroszonak, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC.

She was pre-deceased by one sister, Helen Eroszonak, one brother, John
Eroszonak as well as an infant daughter, Christine Mary Logren.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning, April 16th at Eleven O'clock
in the Funeral Home with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph
Church, officiating.

Interment will be at a later date in St Mary's Cemetery in Claremont.

of one's choice.
