He was born in Peekskill, NY on October 31, 1945 the son of William R. and
Gladys (Travis) Knapp.
He lived in Peekskill, NY most of his life where he worked as a grounds
keeper at Valeria Home for many years and retired due to disability and
resided in Claremont since 1993.
The surviving family includes one sister, Mrs. Scott (Lois J.) Whitney of
Claremont; three brothers, Richard C. Knapp of Lake Peekskill, NY, Robert O.
Knapp of Clinton Corners, NY and George D. Knapp of Wentworth, NH; three
aunts, Sue Arpin of Peekskill, NY, Barbara Smith of Bethel, CT and Lillian
Bell of Essex Junction, VT; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Wednesday, November 1st from 4 to 7 PM.
Graveside committal services will be held Saturday, Nov. 4th at Eleven
O'clock in the Hillside Cemetery in Cortland Manor, NY.
