Yvette "Mrs. H." Herlihy, 73, of Pearl Street in Claremont, NH, died Wednesday evening, November 1, 2006 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Claremont, NH on October 15, 1933 the daughter of Peter J. and Fedora (Thibodeau) Belanger. She lived in Claremont for many years, in Old Orchard Beach, ME for two years, in Hollywood, FL for fourteen years and returned to Claremont in 1997. Mrs. Herlihy worked as a receptionist, clerk, typist for the City of Hollywood, FL, Fire Department for ten years and while back in Claremont she was volunteer latch key aid at St Mary's School for the past eight years. She was a communicant of St Mary's Church and a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #639. She enjoyed her computer and reading. The surviving family includes her husband, Timothy M. Herlihy of Claremont whom she married fifty years ago on May 19, 1956; also two nieces, Sandra Barton and Beverly Soseman; three nephews, Rev. Father Peter Farnsworth, Edward Ferry and Kevin Ferry. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont on Monday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, Nov. 6th at Ten O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St Mary's School, 18 Central Street, Claremont, NH 03743. |
