Clifford “Kip” David Prescott, 70, of Old Church Road in Claremont, NH died on October 21, 2013 at Woodlawn in Newport, NH. He was born in Lowell, MA on March 24, 1943 the son of the late Clifford Alfred and Evelyn Mary (McAndrew) Prescott. Kip was a machinist at Jones & Lamson in Springfield, VT and other various machine shops. He was in the US Navy and was involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. The family includes his wife, Arlene (Benjamin) Prescott whom he married on August 16, 1975 of Claremont; a daughter, Philora “Lori” Loring and her husband, David of Unity and a son, Travis Farrar of VT; a sister, Barbara Tenney of Newport; grandsons, Aaron and Joshua Loring; granddaughters, Kailee and Amber Shepard and their parents, Terry and Robin Shepard; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and one aunt, Ann Rooney of N. Chelmsford, MA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Shepard. A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, October 26th at 2:00PM in the Grace River Church in Claremont with Pastor Scott Kearns, officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will be held privately in Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to any Humane Society of one’s choice. |
